*Iguanura kelantanensis* is a small understory palm native to the hill forests of Kelantan on the Malay Peninsula, found at elevations of around 300 meters. Taxonomically, major botanical databases—such as Kew Science’s *Plants of the World Online*—treat it as a synonym for *Iguanura geonomiformis*. It is typically a small, solitary palm that is either stemless or has a short stem. Its new leaves are a striking rusty-red color and, in young plants, remain undivided.
