This very rare palm produces a slender trunk reaching a maximum height of 1.5 m, bearing several long-stalked leaves in an open crown. The leaves consist of 6 to 8 segments, with the lateral segments being narrower and the two central segments unusually broad. *Lanonia verrucosa* originates from the rainforest understory of southern Vietnam, where it grows at elevations of approximately 400 m. It was only scientifically described in 2017 and is currently unknown in cultivation, yet it should thrive without difficulty in most tropical climates. A rare gem for your collection!
