Kentiopsis piersoniorum is a slow-growing but beautiful palm. As a young palm, it is quite colorful, with new orange to reddish leaves, pink to yellow or orange petioles, pale blue-green to mint green leaflets, a purplish-green crownshaft, and a pink trunk. A sunny and moist location, but with well-drained substrate, is essential. It likes plenty of moisture. It adapts easily to both tropical and warm temperate climates. It is very rare in cultivation due to its slow growth.
