Available again for the first time in over 10 years and an incredible rarity: Wettinia hirsuta is a spectacular single-trunked palm from the mountain rainforests of northwestern Colombia. There, it grows at altitudes between 400 and 1300 meters. It has a long, light gray-green crownshaft and a dense crown of bushy leaves with overhanging, broad, dark green leaflets. In its natural habitat, it is threatened by deforestation and is rarely cultivated. It thrives best in humid, tropical and some warm-temperate climates.
