This extraordinary little palm originates from the lowland forests of the Palawan region in the Philippines and produces very few offshoots. It has been rarely found in cultivation in recent years. Pinanga curranii is one of three Philippine Pinanga species whose leaves are beautifully mottled when young. Some larger plants may retain this coloration. This gem should definitely be part of any palm collection, especially since it is well-suited as a houseplant.
