Pinanga disticha is a highly sought-after dwarf palm from Southeast Asia. It owes its popularity to the fascinating, mosaic-like mottling of light and dark green or yellowish-white spots on its mature leaves. The leaves of "Stained Glass" mother plants feature a stunning, psychedelic network of patterns reminiscent of a stained-glass window. New leaves unfurl in striking shades of dark or light pink before developing their characteristic green-patterned coloration. It is a slow-growing, multi-stemmed palm with slender trunks and leaves that are typically undivided or only slightly divided. Seedling leaves often do not yet display this distinctive coloration.
